Bossi Strada | Matt's Custom Build

The titanium road bike of your dreams

Home / Custom Builds / Matt's Bossi Strada

The brief

Matt was looking for a custom forever road bike.

Forever? Well, that's titanium, and titanium is Bossi.

Road bike? We're looking at a Strada.

Custom? Well, that's us!

The bike

The Strada is Bossi's classic titanium road bike. Its geometry means that you can race on it as well as use it as your everyday roadie. This is an elegant frame designed to last a lifetime, and just what Matt was looking for.

We started with an Ultegra Di2 groupset -- the ideal choice when you want excellent performance and a low weight but are looking for something a bit more budget-friendly than Dura-Ace.

As a bonus, when you save some money on your drivetrain, you can put it towards other things -- like a set of Bossi carbon wheels, seen here in the 40mm depth. We love Bossi wheels as they're light, feel beautiful to ride, and offer great value for money. Pop on a set of classic Continental GP5000s, and you're ready for any road.

A set of carbon Easton EC70 bars offered lightness and bump-absorption, and paired very nicely with an Easton EA70 stem.

Matt had also mentioned that he liked red, so how could we resist adding some scarlet details, such as a Garbaruk top cap, Supacaz tape and 12 O'Clock jockey wheels? With the final touch -- a hand-painted headtube logo -- this Strada was ready to roll.

The wheel has performed great, thanks! I went in the Coast to Coast on the weekend and it was particularly smooth and responsive. Thanks for the high quality of workmanship and excellent customer service. I've told some others who I work with about my experience with BMCR and they are looking…Brendan Frears
